This site sets one cookie, for Meta’s advertising pixel, and no other. This page says what it is for and how long it lives, so you can hold us to that.
What this site sets
One cookie, for Meta’s advertising pixel. As of the date above, it is the only cookie any page on this site sets. There is no analytics script, and no embedded widget quietly bringing its own.
_fbp, set by the Meta Pixel, a script from Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It holds a random number and the time it was set, which lets Meta recognise the same browser from one visit to the next, so that it can measure how our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram perform, and decide who to show them to. It lasts 90 days, counted again from each visit. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, and your browser allows it, Meta may also read its own cookies when the pixel reports a visit, which is how it can connect that visit to your account.
Your browser’s tracking protection, or any ad blocker, keeps the pixel from loading at all, and the site works exactly the same without it. Clearing your cookies removes it.
You are welcome to check rather than take our word for it: your browser’s privacy settings, or its developer tools, will show you every cookie a site holds. For this one, the list holds _fbp and nothing else.
What your browser remembers
Apart from that cookie, one thing only: the language you choose to read the site in. It is kept for as long as the tab is open, in session storage, which your browser empties the moment the tab is closed. Open the site again, in that tab or a new one, and it will ask which language you would like. It is not a cookie, it is never sent anywhere, and it tells us nothing about you.
If this ever changes
If the site ever needs another cookie, a measurement tool, say, or a feature that cannot work without one, this page will name it, say what it is for and how long it lives, before it is set, and the date at the top will change. A policy is only worth having if it stays true the day after you read it.
